The purpose of this policy is to outline the training requirements for all staff at Turning Point Leeds to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment for all pupils.

This policy applies to all staff members at Turning Point Leeds, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and volunteer staff.
3. Policy statement
Turning Point Leeds is committed to the continuous professional development of its staff. Effective training is essential to ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and are able to carry out their roles effectively. This includes mandatory training in safeguarding, health and safety, and other relevant areas.
4. Training requirements
A. Induction training

Mandatory for all new staff: All new staff must complete induction training within the first month of their employment. This training will include:
